FINANCE DIRECTOR, Wise County, Virginia Salary: DOE
The County of Wise has an opening for a Finance Director.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of the County Administrator and will be responsible for development of the County General Fund Budget, development and maintenance of internal financial controls, supervision of accounts payable and payroll processes and supervision of the human resources records and other records related to financial accounting.
This individual will be responsible for all year-end accounting transactions and the preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
Requirements include: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
5 years' experience in governmental accounting with a CPA certificate preferred but not required.
The successful candidate will need to possess the necessary skills to supervise others and communicate with Constitutional Officers and Department Heads.
As an effective team member, the successful candidate should possess strong organizational skills, strong written and verbal communications skills and a very strong knowledge of computers.
