The CITY OF BRISTOL TENNESSEE is accepting applications for:
PURCHASING AGENT Under the direction of the Director of Administration, the purpose of this position is to plan, organize, and direct the City's Purchasing and Risk Management functions.
Responsibilities include processing and reviewing of purchase orders, processing of solicitations (bids, RFP's, RFQ's), and oversight of property and liability claims.
Position, as part of Administration team, also is involved in various Human Resources tasks and projects.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Public Administration, or related field required with three to five years of experience in procurement; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
Must possess excellent communication, relationship building, and computer skills.
Municipal experience and basic knowledge of Human Resources preferred.
