Private management company seeks motivated individual for position of Staff Accountant. The position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and the General Counsel. This unique position is a hybrid position that combines the duties of a corporate controller, senior bookkeeper, corporate/real estate paralegal and legal secretary. The work is approximately 75% accounting, 20% legal, and 5% other. Duties include accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, spreadsheet preparation, legal research, filing, word processing, and general office administration tasks. Must be proficient with Quickbooks and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), have strong verbal and written communications skills, and be able to manage confidential information. The ideal applicant will have several years of experience in bookkeeping and/or a relevant college degree. Legal experience is helpful but not required. The company offers a competitive benefits package. The company currently pays 85% of the employee’s health, dental and vision insurance premiums and offers an immediately vested 4% match on 401(k) contributions after one year of employment. Compensation depends on experience and educational background. The work location is a nice office setting in downtown Bristol, TN.
