Southwestern Virginia Mental Health Institute, a 179-bed state-of-the-art mental health facility, in Marion, Virginia, is seeking dynamic on-call medical professionals to provide medical services for nights and/or on weekends. Access to on-call quarters is available. Medical services include patient evaluation, admission history, physical examination, and responding to clinical situations in the hospital, with access to consultation from staff psychiatrists. Experience in on-call coverage in a similar setting is preferred. Hourly rate of pay is negotiable for the following:
Part-Time On-Call Physician, Position #WE118, may be primary care physicians or psychiatrists with current medical licensure in Virginia and ACLS certification required.
Part-Time On-Call Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Position #WE157, requires current Certified Nurse Practitioner licensure in Virginia and ACLS certification; Nurse Practitioner Psychiatric Certification preferred.
